fits the AH Topper starting in 1961 and in early 1963, part
no. 27143-61
(Fits on any AH model number from 1961 up to engine No:
63AH-1693)
The MD119A Throttle shaft goes
completely through the carburetor body as pictured below in the MD-119A photo.
Carburetor has stainless steel choke and throttle shaft with stainless steel
bushings.
The Tillotson Carburetor Stamped on the Boss
with the No. MD-119B fits the
AH Topper from 1963 to 1965
part no. 27143-63
( Fits

The MD119B Throttle shaft stops
from going all the way through the carburetor body
and does not have the stop lever # 40 as pictured below in the MD119A
photo.
But the MD119B has a stop lever

Also the MD-119B was used on the Harley servi-car from 1966 to GE also.

The only difference between the MD119B
and the MD119A are as follows.
Throttle Stop Screw 2546W replaced by 27717-59 the idle adjusting
screw.
No. 4 in picture below, 27249-65 Choke Shaft Washer.
No. 6 in picture below, 27672-63 Throttle Shaft and Lever.

The Choke and Throttle discs in the B are the same as the A and the needle and
seat the same as A.
Also the main mixture screw and the main nozzle seems to be the same.
The only visible differences would be the throttle shaft lever is now on the
opposite side as on the A, in which the
throttle cable mount at the dash had also changed above
Engine Number: 63AH-1693.
The Harley Topper used
a Reed Valve on every model
from 1959 to 1965 on the A, AU, AH.
But used three different size air intake manifolds.
View the manifold numbers and types below.
Three different size
air intake manifolds.
One. no.
27017-59 fit: 1959,1960 and 1961 A model.
NOTE: The
manual shows number 27017-59 for the A model
manifold but the consensus is, that number is a misprint.
27018-59 seems to be the number found on most manifold castings on the A model.
Two.
no. 27018-59 fit: 1959 to 1965 AU model.
.... .....
Note: The
AU used a special smaller-base manifold intake.
It was one of the key components to achieve the under 5-brake hp needed
for riders in states with junior licensing laws for engines under 5 hp engines.
Other parts needed to keep the horse power low was the
following:
Low compression head, (the AU and the
A used the same head),
Small carburetor intake passage ,small air intake hose
and long low resistance muffler.
NOTE:
The manual shows number 27018-59 for the AU model
manifold but the consensus is, that number is a misprint.
27019-59 seems to be the number found on most manifold castings on the AU model.
Three.
no. 27017-61 fit: 1961 to 1965 AH model.
